Pool repair for existing pools in Dubai
When something on the pool stops working, the fix starts with finding out why. We repair the fittings, pipework and plant-room components of existing pools, and explain the cause as well as the cure.

Pool faults rarely arrive alone. A cracked skimmer lid lets debris into the pump basket; a sticking valve starves the filter; a failing union draws air into the system and leaves the water cloudy. Treating the symptom without the cause usually means a second call-out.
Our repair work covers the parts of an existing pool that wear, break or loosen over time — from fittings at the waterline to valves and pipework in the plant room. For powered equipment such as heaters, chlorinators and controls, see pool equipment repair; for pumps and filters, see pump and filter services.
Repairs we carry out
Skimmers and returns
Replacing cracked lids, weirs, baskets and return eyeballs, and resealing loose fittings.
Ladders and handrails
Re-securing loose ladders and rails and replacing worn treads and anchors.
Pool lights
Replacing failed lamps and seals in existing light fittings, and tracing tripping lighting circuits.
Valves and unions
Freeing or replacing seized valves and resealing leaking unions in the plant room.
Plant-room pipework
Repairing accessible pipework leaks and replacing damaged sections.
Small surface repairs
Re-fixing individual loose tiles or coping stones. Full retiling or resurfacing is renovation work and outside our scope.
Is the water level dropping?
Pools in Dubai lose a noticeable amount of water to evaporation, especially in summer. Before assuming a leak, a simple comparison helps:
- Stand a bucket on the pool step, fill it to the same level as the pool water and mark both levels.
- Leave the pump running on its normal schedule for a day, then compare how far each level has fallen.
- If the pool falls clearly more than the bucket, repeat with the pump switched off and note the difference.
- Tell us both results when you get in touch. They show whether the loss is likely to be evaporation, and whether it is linked to the circulation system.
Common signs that something needs repair
Air bubbles from the returns
Usually air drawn in on the suction side — a lid seal, union or valve worth checking.
Damp floor in the plant room
A slow leak at a union, valve or pump seal that will worsen if left.
A light that keeps tripping
Water in the fitting or a failing seal. Switch the circuit off and leave it off until it is checked.
Loose or rattling fittings
Ladders, rails and skimmer parts that move under load should be secured before someone is hurt.
Common questions
Can you repair a pool light without draining the pool?
Many fittings are designed with enough cable to be lifted onto the deck for re-lamping and resealing. Where that is not possible, we explain the options before starting.
Do you retile pools?
No. We re-fix individual loose tiles and coping stones as repairs, but full retiling, resurfacing and structural work are renovation projects and outside what VillaPools does.
Do you repair pools you do not maintain?
Yes. Repairs are available on their own, and we will mention anything else we notice while we are there.
